"We felt like aliens"

- Me and Tom looked very different. We had the same style then as today with our hair and so. We did not look like everyone else and sometimes it was really tough at school. But I think it is a part of life, sometimes it's just so, says Bill Kaulitz.
Few close friends
The singer says that he and his twinbrother always socialized with each other and that they had few close friends. Dodgy comments and the sense of being different in their teens have contributed to the recent album "Humanoid."
- People looked at us as if we were aliens and that was how we felt, says Bill Kaulitz. The brothers believe that all people at some time may experience how it feels to be outside and that it is part of growing up.

I think it is common that people say dodgy things to each other online. It is a bad thing with the Internet, says Tom Kaulitz."
